A collaboration with Nicholas Wade and Marco Piccolino funded by the Federation of European Neuroscience Societies (FENS), it is intended to inform and promote the history of european neuroscience.

The site’s main feature is a gallery of ‘perceptual portraits’ which combine images of neuroscientists with images of their discoveries. Further funding is currently being sought with the intention of expanding the number of portraits available.

Built on Drupal-7 using HTML5 and a smattering of CSS3.

Klassik Møbelkunst is all about classic design furniture, art, sculpture and architecture – buying, selling and discussing. It allows sellers and artists to list their items for sale free of charge.

Klassikmobelkunst.com was built on Drupal 6 and uses a handful of contributed drupal modules plus two small modules I wrote specifically for the site.

The visual design was created by Mandy Waite and converted to a bespoke Drupal theme by myself.

The site was handed over to webintegrations.co.uk in summer 2010.

WaWiKi features the art of three couples: Nicholas and Christine Wade; Ludwig and Ingeborg Wilding; Wolfgang and Isolde Kiwus, not as individuals but rather as a collective, each contributing something to every artwork. It's hard to describe the art, so take a look.

The site is built on PHP (including phptemplate based templating), with XHTML, CSS and a smattering of Javascript.

"Can you build a site using Drupal that will allow people to sign-up for our events online?" asked Hill-Logan, "Yes." was my answer.

Hill-Logan provide a range of services to organisations large and small, public and private. Part of their business involves hosting training events and seminars. The site, hill-logan.co.uk, allows Hill-Logan's clients to register to attend an event, receive reminders via e-mail, and communicate with the organisers. Even better it allows Hill-Logan staff to manage events, contact attendee's and email out relevant information.

Built on Drupal the site uses Signup, Event, Date, Calendar, CCK and Views modules, amongst others, and a custom built Drupal theme.

In October 2008 Woodford Golf Club moved their web site to the Golf Glub Network. The text and images here relate to the previous version which I managed and hosted from 2004-2008.

In Woodford Green, London, lies the Woodford Golf Club. Built on the Drupal content management system the web site enables the club committee and secretary to update the content themselves. It also includes a substantial members only section not visible to the general public.

The National Childbirth trust is a charity offering pre and post-natal support to parents. Many local branches had their own sites, this was one of them. Building the site on the Drupal Content Management system allowed me to deliver a site with high functionality at very low cost, and importantly one which the members could update themselves.

In 2006 the charity wisely decided to centralize it's web offerings, providing a space for each branch and tools to manage the content as part of it's main web site. As a result the custom site I built was closed down in early 2007.

I failed to keep a full sized screen shot of the site, so on the right is a copy of the combined header/footer graphic I designed. Loosely based on the figure of a reclined pregnant woman it also resembles the hills of Dundee seen from Fife, and their reflection in the Tay.

Jonathan Clarkson is a design consultant with a wide portfolio including street furniture and garden structures. Because Jonathan himself is a designer he wanted to have big input in the design of the site. The result is a site with a visual style that is as much Jonathan's as mine.

Created for Nicholas Wade, Opprints is primarily a site of visual illusions but also details the many books which Nick has published. The screen shot on the right shows the gallery index page.

The gallery of illusions uses Adobe Flash to allow the images to scale, fitting the visitors browser window. It's built to degrade however, visitors which don't have Flash installed see a non-resizable image instead.
